Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 23, 2026

1. Introduction

Good News Naturopathic Clinic (“we,” “us,” or “our”) values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect information when you visit DrJamieAhn.com, contact us, receive text messages from us, or use our services. By using our website or services, you agree to this policy.

2. Information we collect

  • Contact information: your name, date of birth, address, phone number, email address and other details you give us when you book an appointment, fill out a form, or contact us.
  • Health information: as a healthcare provider, we collect information about your health, medical history, test results and treatment needed to provide naturopathic care.
  • Payment information: billing details needed to process payments. Card information is handled by our payment processor.
  • Website information: your IP address, browser type, device, pages viewed and links clicked, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 8).

3. Your health information

We protect the health information you share with us as a patient under applicable federal and Connecticut health privacy laws, including HIPAA where it applies. Our Notice of Privacy Practices describes how patient health information may be used and disclosed; a copy is available at our office or on request. If this policy and the Notice differ about patient health information, the Notice controls.

Please do not send detailed health information through website contact forms or regular email. Use our secure patient portal instead.

4. How we use your information

  • To schedule appointments, provide care, and support your treatment.
  • To process payments and provide superbills on request.
  • To send appointment reminders, answer questions, and tell you about changes to our services.
  • To improve our website and services.
  • To meet legal, regulatory and licensing requirements.

5. How we share your information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only as described here:

  • Service providers who help us run the practice, such as our electronic health record and scheduling system, payment processor, laboratories, supplement fulfillment and shipping, and IT support. They may use your information only to perform services for us.
  • Other healthcare providers when needed for your treatment, care coordination, or referrals.
  • When required by law, or to protect the rights, privacy, safety or property of our patients, our clinic, or others.

6. Text messages (SMS)

If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive text messages, we may send appointment reminders, scheduling and follow-up messages, and occasional practice updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. Agreeing to receive texts is not a condition of receiving care.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

7. Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

8. Cookies and website analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, understand how visitors use it, and measure our advertising. We may use services such as Google Analytics and Google Ads for this purpose. We do not knowingly share your health information with advertising platforms. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; some parts of the site may not work properly without them.
